Jude is my kinda guy! I LOVE roller coasters. L-O-V-E, adore.

And, uh, GRANDMOTHER??!?!? Dumbass. Yeah, must've been from DeliveranceLand.

The world can be broken down into two types of people: roller coaster people and non-roller coaster people. Darling Daughter and I are roller coaster people; Beloved, Oldest Son and The Young One are not.

Some day you'll have to take him to Vegas just so he can ride the one at the top of New York, New York - it is WAY fun.

That is my kind of roller coaster. That was a great Camp Mama Day! Maybe it is something about the So. Cal area with that Grandma talk. Julie who reads your blog had that happen to her. Seriously though, I am just bracing for the day it happens to me.
P.S. I'm dating myself but I used to ride that carousel all the time when I was Jude's age, and the only other ride they had was a tall, tall, slide where you'd walk up about a million steps and go down the long metal slide sitting on a burlap bag.

You're such a cool MOM! The pier looks like such a great place and in a beautiful location.

I think I need to lay down for a bit just after looking at the pictures. Rides and I do not get along. My poor children.

Lawyer Mom

You brave young mom! I got vertigo just looking at the pictures. Thank goodness I've got my cane handy.

Christopher (AKA: CaJoh)

I love how the pictures give a sense of motion because they are angled. The first time I went to LA we went to that park. We went in the evening so the views were a bit different, but enjoyable all the same.

Thanks for sharing,

What??? Was the man insane, blind or affected by hanging upside down? The spitting confirms the insane part. An older sister or Mom but not a Grandmother!! Too much moonshine will do that...

In my book, that's right up there with, "So, when are you due?" And all you can answer is, "Five years ago."

That roller coaster was NOT there when I lived in L.A. I would have been all over it. Did I ever tell you about the time right after I moved there, I went to Santa Monica Pier WEARING PANTY HOSE? :)

Lynn Hornsby

rode small coasters when I was small; no more till I was literally unknowingly pregnant at age 35 and now I love them!! My absolute fav is the Hulk at Universal Islands of Adventure/Orlando; rode it FIVE times (my first "upside down" coaster at the time.) Still not hip on trying the Busch Gardens Sheikra or Griffon. Oh, and probably should not say this but got stuck on one in Tampa for 15 minutes on the going-up (my least favorite!!)part!!

He thought you were Jude's grandmother? Well, at least he tried to pull his foot out of his mouth rather fast.

Looks like a fun place. Not one I would want to go to because I can't stand most rides (makes me vomit. I'm a total wuss), but it looks like a lot of fun for little ones. My kid would love it. He is a a total daredevil!

Julie at MDMA

That grandma thing left a mark on me when I got it last time ... and I get variations of it more often than I'd like to admit.

I love Pacific Park! We don't go often enough ... plus, my kid can't handle the twisty-turny rides. Wuss ...

Great pics! Do you have a new iPhone? My husband got one (I'm holding out for the white one) and the camera is AMAZING.
