Didn't you love her olive oil container? When she was cutting the potato and the onion, though, I got a little nervous.

So -- do you add tomato sauce or no?


I love Clara! I wish I could be so young at 91 - but I already know I can't cook as well as she can.


My word. I hope I'm still eating at 91, let alone cooking. I love the handwritten "peas" on the can. Bet she got them discount... sweet thing.

Patrick Evans, weather dude (he's out your way now, come to think) was born Iachetta. He'd make us pasta e fagiole, his grandma's recipe, and said she'd spin in her grave if she knew he was serving it to company - she called it "peasant food." SO yummy!
