You've managed to make me more homesick for Texas than I've been in quite some time. :)

Nick had to go for training in Austin last spring. He really liked it there--far better than Dallas, where he had to go after.

I live two blocks from Central Market in Houston which of course means I spend too much money and time there. And, what can I say about South Congress or 7th street except I can get into a lot of trouble there.

Austin sounds wonderful! I've never been to Texas. If I ever do go there, I'm making Austin the city to visit! (My mouth is watering from your BBQ description.)

Here's my spin: http://www.lemondroppie.com/2012/09/small-town-girl/

I read a book set in Austin not too long ago & I thought, "man I'd like to visit there!" Just reading all these spin cycles have added three different places to my bucket list. Sigh.

I've been to Austin once in my life and loved it there - I'm definitely going to have to make it a point to go back! :)

I went to Austin once, with Sophie, and really loved it -- and weirdly enough, I learned a song when I was really young, a little girl called "Blue Bonnets," that I sang to each of my children every single night before they went to sleep. Blue bonnets, blue bonnets, with your coat so blue. Your wide eyes are smiling through the silvery dew. Something, something, offered by the rain. I know you'll return again, to Texas in the spring.
