I'm assuming that all of you read Becky, the Suburban Matron, right? If not, then I am desperately sorry for you and you must go there now. Because she's really, seriously, one of the best bloggers out there. And a lovely human being as well. But enough of this mushy stuff...
Becky has LOST HER DOMAIN NAME. Yes, it's true. She is duly pissed off.
Due to some random mess ups from GoDaddy, her domain name expired and was snatched up by a low-life cybersquatter, who hijacks every hit on her site and redirects it to his own site where he's trying to sell you trashy stuff.
The Becks has located this a-hole, and apparently, this dude is "a 21 year-old who lives in his parents' basement in Chicago". He has kindly offered to sell it back to her for $5500! This is the truth, people.
The good news is that she was able to move her blog over to Blogger. The bad news is that nobody can find her. Ergh.
So I'm here to let you all know that Becky's new website is - www.suburbanmatron.blogspot.com
That's easy enough, right? So if you have her linked on your blog roll, PLEASE change the link to the new site right away. We don't want to direct any more business to the cybersquatter dude.
Just go see her anyway, because she tells the story of the domain name tragedy much better than I do, and you can leave her a comment offering comfort and solidarity.
Okay, that's my PSA for the day.

If mistakes were made by GoDaddy, then they should be doing something to reacquire her domain name - what this little shit-heels of a kid is doing is just WRONG.
But this is why I do everything through Network Solutions. They may be more expensive, but I've never ever had a problem - any you wouldn't believe how many domains I own.

Thank you so much for the love, y'all! Solidarity! Yes, GoDaddy made some mistakes but to them, the big deal is that I let the domain expire in the first place. :( They're like, nothin' we can do. I hold out a little hope that this guy will be more reasonable.
In the meantime, I just need people to click on my proper link in google searches and not click on his! Eventually his page rank will decline and I'll be back on top, baby!
