I have a feeling I'm going to be playing on Chip-It extensively... ;)

That goat paper made me laugh-snort. ;)

I am in total agreement with you on the Time cover. You expressed exactly what I was thinking.

Ooooh! I'm going to have to see if our cable has MeTV...I'd love to introduce some of those old classics to Princess Nagger!

I'm chuckling that you read that as hot flashes vs. ashes... ;)

Turbo and Nick were cruising around the channels the other night and on I think Hub they found Mork and Mindy. Turbo loved it. I think being able to see those old shows is awesome. Now to find Gilligan's Island.
I think the kerfluffle of the Time magazine picture is really more about attention than really making a statement. Few people actually read the magazine but will go off about the picture at a moments notice. ANd truly, that poor boy. His teenage years are doomed.

Cathy Kennedy

The Time cover is a bit much. It's entirely up to each mother what she wishes to do, but honestly I have DEEP reservations of breastfeeding for this long. I know it's not uncommon in other cultures for this to be so unlike here in America, but like you everyone is gonna have weird thoughts about that kid. Poor fellow! Interesting post, thanks for sharing.

Dawn

Wow, I'm fairly certain that the Catholic Church would have something to say about the goat....

Those paint chips palettes are really cool; now to figure out what to use in them.

Alaina

Oh wow, I love that homework picture! Classic! And I totally agree with you on the breastfeeding picture.

Jan's Sushi Bar

Beloved asked me if I thought Time Magazine was just trying to rile things up rather publish a serious news story. Uh...ya think?

Aimee

With you 100% on Time magazine! Poor kid. His high school years are doomed.

No hot flashes - ha!!

Sprite's Keeper

I guess My goat is in a pen was already taken?

Michele

Damn you and your Chip-it! Now, nothing will get done at my house.

Peg

I so agree about the Time cover. It's not the content specifically, it's the fact that the poor boy will be forever tormented by everyone who ever knows him. Plus the look on his face looks more like disdain than the fact that he's enjoying a good meal....

Patty

I love that your son is telling his friends about the Odd Couple! So funny!

And I totally agree about the Time mag cover. I thought the very same thing! Poor kid.

Ginny Marie

Forget about the hot flashes, I'm still laughing at the goat!

Kendra

I read that as no hot asses. But my mind is always in the gutter! And as for the Time cover- I'm all for breast feeding but don't pit one group against another and don't put your kid in unnatural nursing situations. Like standing on a stool.

Keely

What irritated me about that Time cover was the title. "Are you Mom enough?" The photo was just sensationalist tripe to go along with it.

Remember when Time was actual journalism?
